Song of Songs – Shir Hashirim, is one of the books in the Bible that have greatly influenced the Jewish culture.

Some of the Bible scholars  see it as a collection  of love poems, others regard it as a demonstration of love between God and the People of Israel. It opens: 

Song of Songs opens:

"Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth--for thy love is better than wine"

The Song of Songs is attributed to King Solomon.
